The National Hispanic Council on Aging (NHCOA) was established in 1979 as an advocate organization with the primary purpose of improving the quality of life for Latino elderly, families and communities. Since its inception, the NHCOA has focused on the importance and functions of the family to assist the elderly in every aspect of living and to provide needed care in old age.
