12/18/2007 - Pass on the Gift of Health
New Easy to Send E-card on the PPA Web site - During this holiday season, the Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPA) wants to remind all Americans that help is available for people struggling to access their prescription medicines. The PPA, sponsored by America's pharmaceutical research companies, is the largest private-sector patient assistance effort to help low-income, uninsured and underinsured people obtain information on how they may access their prescription medicines from patient assistance programs. Since the launch of the program in April 2005, the PPA has helped more than 4.5 million patients, but many more stand to benefit.

In just over two years, the Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPA) has connected four million individuals who are uninsured or lack adequate healthcare coverage to programs that provide prescription medicines for free or nearly free.

In an unprecedented effort sponsored by America's pharmaceutical research companies that has helped nearly four million Americans find ways to access their prescription medicines - sponsored an event in Washington, D.C. to highlight the growing health care crisis facing uninsured individuals and the significant role of patient assistance programs. PPA National Spokesman, Emmy-winning syndicated talk show host Montel Williams, patients from nearly all 50 states who benefit from the program, and other allies joined forces on Capitol Hill to urge members of Congress to find innovative ways to help the country's uninsured.
4/12/2007 - Partnership for Prescription Assistance Kicks Off New Effort to Connect Uninsured Children to Health Care Programs
Initiative launches on YMCA Healthy Kids® Day, April 14; New Web site to help millions of children and their families who are uninsured– America’s pharmaceutical research companies, YMCA of the USA and Easter Seals joined forces today to help uninsured children across the country access the health care they need. These organizations are calling for the reauthorization of the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) and raise awareness of other public and private patient assistance programs available through the Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPA).

Reaching a new milestone, the Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPA) today celebrates its two year anniversary of focusing attention on patient assistance programs that provide free or nearly free medicine to struggling Americans who are uninsured or underinsured. Sponsored by America's pharmaceutical research companies, the PPA has already helped more than 3.6 million people nationwide, but millions of additional people could potentially qualify for assistance.
